Brigadoon traditional marquees

Romantic looking with inner poles. Need clear space around them. Favoured for weddings.

Key Features

Combining the best of old and new, our traditional style marquees have all the classic elegance of old fashioned pole marquees along with the benefits of modern technology.

  • Romantic: these have the beautiful ‘swooping’ lines of the classic English garden party marquee. Ideal for romantic traditional weddings, formal garden parties or any event where period style or a little extra elegance is called for.
  • Poles: wooden supporting poles inside the marquee which can be decorated with ribbons, flowers etc.
  • A little extra space: erected with guy ropes and pegs. But unlike older marquees, they do not need huge amounts of space. Thanks to modern technology, only 5′ extra space is required around the marquees.
  • Safety: made from flame-retardant PVC manufactured to the latest BSI standards.
  • Size: 12m (40′) wide, 12m – 42m (40′ – 140′) long.
  • Capacity: From 130 to 500 people.

Traditional Marquees FAQs

We do not recommend erecting traditional tents on hard surfaces. They require soft ground because they need stakes and guy ropes for stability.

The central wooden poles are a feature of traditional marquees. They are responsible for the attractive peaked roof of these tents, but they can limit they flexibility of your layout for dance floors or large tables. We can help you work out the best solution for your event. That’s what we are here for!

We do not recommend Brigadoon traditional marquees for winter use as they are less resilient to winds, snow, and waterlogged ground.
