Stretch Tents
A stylish, modern alternative to the traditional marquee, stretch tents can be rigged into all sorts of smooth, organic shapes. Every event is unique!
Key features
- Versatile: their strong, elastic fabric stretches tightly over a bespoke layout of poles tailored to the individual style, terrain and season of each event.
- Accommodating: stretch tents can be secured by two different methods – either rigged to buildings or trees, or attached to the ground by anchors, ballasts or pegs. So they can adapt to moderate slopes and stairs and can slip under overhanging shrubs and trees, offering a more flexible alternative in town gardens. They can also be installed on difficult surfaces.
- Weatherproof: in warm weather, stretch tents can be rigged as open sided canopies. In poor weather, all four sides of the tent come down to create an intimate and protected space. They can withstand winds of up to 50mph, snow and hail, and are fully waterproof.
- Size: our stretch tents are 10m (33 feet) x 15m (50 feet).
- Capacity: for a seated event with tables and dance floor, the maximum capacity is 100 guests. For a standing event, capacity is 150 guests.

Stretch tent FAQs
It depends. Sides that are fixed to the ground require little extra space. It’s the same story if trees, posts or other fixings are in place and the tent can be attached. But for a fully open canopy with no potential fixings, we recommend 3m all around the tent.
Our stretch tents are waterproof. They are designed so that rain runs off rather than pooling.
Unfortunately not. The tent needs to be stretched tight, and this can only be done when it is put up. Typically, this will be a day or two before an event when a decision needs to be made.
The basic cost of hiring or buying a stretch tent can be a little more expensive than other marquees due to the specialized fabric and the technical expertise required for rigging. But it’s usually your choice of furniture and decor that will make the most difference in the end.
