How big?
A quick rule of thumb:
- For a buffet event you will need a minimum of 0.8 square metres (8 square feet) per person
- For a seated event you will need a minimum of 1.4 square metres (15 square feet) per person
- Then you will need to add on space for extras like dance floors, bars, reception areas and so on
How much?
This is a rough guide to help you plan. The lower price at each level is for a bare marquee plus installation and takedown; the higher price also includes extras like matting, lighting and lining.

All reviewsI must say that the event went very well and the marquee greatly exceeded our expectations. Quite honestly I don’t see how it could have been any better. Numerous people mentioned how good it looked and that it didn’t look like an attached marquee at all but more like an extension of the house. And the guys who put it up were also excellent. Their focus on making sure we were happy was excellent plus they fitted the floor exactly to the angled step which saved me work! Please pass on my thanks once again to them.
