Whimsical Wedding Tent
Do you want an adventure now or would you like to have your tea first?
This wedding showed just how easily traditional marquees adapt to a relaxed boho aesthetic.
No big flowers or glitzy lighting here. Instead, after a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, a traditional tent provided an understated backdrop for a wedding grounded in natural textures and very personal details.
Plain wood trestle tables, unadorned matting underfoot and simple bunting above kept the atmosphere relaxed, open and informal, all the better to show off whimsical styling drawn from the couples’ love of books and fantasy.
Personalised details included book pages as table decoration, tables named after magical lands (like 100 Aker Wood and Middle Earth), and a cake that looked like a stack of books. The space felt distinctly personal and full of character.
The venue was Fiesta Field’s Surrey based Spirit Lake venue. The ceremony was in the same place.
